Well, tomorrow morning Husband & I depart for a lovely skiing holiday. We're going to Park City, Utah and will be seeing his mom, step-dad, a step-sister & her family - which includes 3 kids, ages 4, 6, and 8. I think it will be great fun to see the kids open up presents.
I am planning to ski, and Husband is going to snowboard. He wasn't ever really a skiier, and although it'd be fun to enjoy the mountains together, I really can't handle the thought of being in such pristine snow conditions and not being able to truly enjoy it by skiing! So I'll be skiing...he'll be somewhere getting lots of bruises snowboarding. Husband & I went on a walk tonight and as we were walking up a hill, he said "at this rate, I figure I'll be able to snowboard for a good 10-15 minutes." It certainly will be interesting to see how 2 out-of-shape people will fare in higher elevation after 2 days of serious exertion!
